After a significant rewrite of Act 3 to change the end of the play, cast member Roberto Valera put on the director’s hat and led the cast thru a full workshop of the revised play. We were joined by two new cast members: Gilary Negrete and Azael Herrera.

The cast and crew expanded. We welcomed new actors: Hector Sandoval, Jonathan Alavez, and Alberto Melendez as well as new directing team Jozh Varela (Directing) with Berenice Zavala (assistant director). We secured a date for a single performance at the prestigious Foro La Gruta at Helenico Centro Cultural in CDMX.

An evening of live performance and a hosted lively talk-back session hosted by Gerry Padilla Bahena with the actors and audience closed the year on a successful note in the march to a full season for Corazon Cicatrizado.

Veteran actors returned along with some new faces. We wanted the time and space to fall in love with this story and these characters all over again. The plan: Fall 2025. This play is ambitious, complex, and multi-layered. It demands every ounce of talent from those that work on it. But we feel it’s an important story to tell.
